I told myself it didn’t count
But it never stopped mattering
TL;DR:
I spent years putting parts of my work on pause because they didn’t “make sense” in the bigger picture.
Now, I’m done waiting for a perfect plan.
The work that matters is moving again: slow, steady, and visible.

For years, I went back and forth on sharing public readings. Some weeks I would, and then I’d stop. Not because they weren’t powerful or because I didn’t enjoy them. I told myself they didn’t really count.
I worried they’d be seen as “small.” That they might pull in people who only wanted a quick fix or a feel-good message, when that’s not what I do. I don’t create to hype people up or convince them their life is perfect. My work has always been about honesty, guidance, and depth, not sugarcoating.
And part of me was afraid that if I shared more readings, people would think that’s all I do. That they’d miss the bigger layers of teaching and guiding behind them.
So instead of letting the readings be what they are, I made them harder than they needed to be. I second-guessed, hesitated, and told myself to wait until I had the right structure, or until I could explain exactly why they mattered.
That’s how we short-change ourselves.
We dismiss the things that come naturally because they don’t look “big enough.” We complicate them. We put them through filters. We convince ourselves they’re not valuable unless they’re polished, packaged, or leading somewhere else.
But when I look back, the truth was obvious. Every time I shared a reading, people told me it gave them words for what they hadn’t been able to express. That is what they were living through. That it mattered.
And that’s when I realized I had been measuring it all wrong. These aren’t filler posts or low-value add-ons. They’re part of the actual work.
The shift for me has been letting myself share what feels natural, without forcing it into a box. Not because I need it to sell something. Not because I have to prove its worth. Simply because it carries meaning.
And if I’ve learned anything since 2017, it’s this: the simple, honest work always carries further than the polished version we try to engineer.
You probably have your own version of this. Maybe it’s writing, creating, organizing, problem-solving, mentoring, or something you’ve always been good at but downplay. Maybe you tell yourself it doesn’t count because it feels too easy, or you can’t explain why it matters, or it doesn’t fit the shape of what the world expects.
But that’s often where your real gift lives. And the moment you stop waiting to justify it, you’ll see how much impact it already has.
That’s the lesson I needed to remind myself of. Stop making it harder. Stop second-guessing. Stop treating the things that come naturally as if they’re not valuable.
They already count.
🔮 The readings are back. I’m sharing them weekly on YouTube. Sometimes they’re collective. Sometimes they’re meant for one person but end up resonating with many.
